The Hallway
2015-04-21
The hallway is usually an undeservedly neglected space, because in about seventy percent of Hungarian homes it is one, if not the smallest room in the apartment. However, it would be important to bear in mind the fact that we are talking about the busiest part of the house, because every day we go to work, school and arrive here, most of the time with a lot of things in our hands. Therefore, the hallway should be a very well-designed area, which is always suitable to be unloaded on arrival, dirty shoes, wet umbrellas put aside, and last but not least, there should be enough space for all members of the family to fit in the door …
Suitable facilities are needed for storing coats, jackets, shoes and bags, but here we always use the shoe brush, key rings, shopping supplies, mosquito repellents and countless other things that are not exactly aesthetic. This is why we undertake no small task if we want to put our decorative objects in the foreground, as this room is responsible for the first impression! For the first impression of the apartment, the people living there, their lives and habits, we get a taste of who we came to. NAME OF OUR PREVIOUS HOUSE!
So it's not worth saving on the square if you can, and instead spend a little extra space from other rooms, even if it's enough for just one wardrobe! Small baskets for small things, keys, scarves and sunglasses can be arranged, and don't forget about the mood-causing role of a picture or plant.
Here's a little eye-catching inspiration.
