Spacious and sunny family home, friendly and elegant Art Deco style.

I walk the quiet streets of Újszeged when I look for the house to which I was recently invited.
The owners love their home and their desire is that the already purchased property built years ago will serve their needs in every respect from now on, so they have scheduled a complete transformation, in which I can help them in the next period. The building quietly represents the charm of a home nestled in a pleasant green area, while offering a daily scene for a busy, urbanly bustling lifestyle. In the house lives a nice family, where the children are no longer tiny, so it is easier to give impetus to young owners for the transformation. Their insights and needs are quickly outlined. The heart of the house is the kitchen and dining area, which they would like to make good use of on weekdays and in large family gatherings – a suitable place for cooking and coffee-making activities there. Typically, the family does not watch TV the more they like the cinema, so discreet solution of this function became indispensable in the living room. The orientation of the building is good, the sunbathing is pleasant, so I didn't want to change the proportion of the spaces. However, the enhancement of the feeling of spaciousness and the fine-tuning of the colors have a major role in addition to the furnishing concept, as one of the owners prefers blue and white, while the other prefers the warmth of beautiful, quality wood. It was necessary to design an interior corresponding to two different approaches, so that the Art Deco signs are clear and decisive at the same time, while style and elegance should not be at the expense of the functionality and practicality of the family living space.
With the exception of the apron and the bath, no demolition tasks were created, the original functions remained in place, which, in parallel with the ease of implementation, clearly saves the budget. Thanks to the reconstruction, the kitchen opened up to the rest of the house, the unexploited square meters disappeared from the small corridor and a living, more real connection was formed between the living room and the otherwise distant dining room. To compensate for its positioning, I tried to connect the latter space to the kitchen by taking over some of its design ideas and applying them in a slightly different form of presentation. These interiors have an elegant English wall panel system, complemented by wallpaper, and the proportion of colours and chrome-plated surfaces is similar, thus making the functional interconnectedness apparent. Of course, it was very important that the living room, corridor and foreground between the two zones follow the same harmony pleasantly, and at the same time it should be an independent and characteristic central zone of the ground floor space.
A milieu where it feels good to rest and enjoy the garden,
to have cheerful gatherings of friends, and to go to the cinema in the evening just as comfortably,
It's like sitting in a work corner for an hour to get through our day-to-day tasks.
The design was a special challenge, let the pictures tell me for me.
Thank you for your trust.
