Library in the living room. 5+1 steps

It's a book.

There's not a home we wouldn't meet at this meeting. Many of us, of course, don't just have to put a few in the apartment, because there are more bookshelves of reading in the rooms than most people. Therefore, we cannot avoid the question if we design the furnishing of our home: Where do we put our books?

Now I give a few hints to those who are not yet sure how their home library could become an imposing pride wall instead of a crowded protagonist, on which even their guests like to gaze!

Step 1

Let's make a selection. Surely everyone has literature that will never be in the hands of a reader …

Step 2

Decide in which room the shelves would be in the right place. Make sure the space is bright and if you can have an armchair or sofa nearby – this is why in many cases the living room is the best choice. (There are some things to consider: for example, it is impractical for a room to be ventilated into a damp room or to have no windows)

Step 3

Determination of the size and shape of the bookcase: If most of our library wears a colorful cover, white and grey shades are best suited for the color of the cabinet. If appropriate, add a few drawers or lockable doors between the rows for a neat effect.

Step 4

Never fill your home library with small items. The placement of some kind memories or ornaments is just enough to break the monotonous lines of the books and give the furnishing a more airy effect.

Step 5

If you want a special look, you can decorate the backs of the shelves with colors and wallpaper, so the overall effect will be really unique!

5+1 steps

It's a light! Adequate illumination is essential and absolutely necessary when designing an imposing and harmonious equipment for practical and aesthetic reasons!

Tip 1: In the case of valuable collections, check how large a lumen light source can be used for this purpose without the risk of fading, drying or significant deterioration in quality.
