I hired Regina Perneczky to design the interiors of two newly built condos. She got involved in both processes right after the purchase, so despite the first property having an irregular floor area, and the other being small in size, we managed to create living spaces suitable for all functions. The processes required full design service, including designing the lightings, drawing electrical wiring plans, creating harmonious spaces by choosing the right interior cladding, wall colors, wallpapers, picking out pieces of furniture, and in certain cases, even designing new, unique ones. She provided visualizations of her ideas, and in the case of the first property, she sent them to me together with the full design documentation.

Regarding the second property, I also asked her to coordinate the whole process of execution, so besides providing the documentation, she was also responsible for being the contact person and consulting with the specialists (e.g. tilers, house painters, electricians, cabinet makers). I did not have the opportunity to keep an eye on the construction in person weekly or daily. Therefore, it was extremely helpful that Regina could easily answer any questions on my behalf, as she of course had an in-depth knowledge of the whole design plan. Thanks to her contacts, she could recommend stores and manufacturers that offer high-quality products at  fair prices. Moreover, in certain cases, it was her who negotiated with the stores and even picked up some of the products herself.

Last but not least, she did all this with great professionalism, effective cooperation and maximum care. Therefore, I am absolutely sure that if I decided to buy, build or renovate a property again in the future, I would definitely ask her to facilitate the process with her ideas, views and experience.

Regina helped us with the complete interior design of an apartment and also with the renovation of our 20-year-old house. She has created living spaces that are refined, sophisticated, harmonious and practical. Her lovely personality has swept our whole family off our feet, and thanks to her ideas, we even managed to stay within a reasonable budget.

She has helped us find the best professionals and communicated with them with necessary determination. Thanks to her being really precise and reliable, we managed to expedite the processes and be efficient. Although hiring a professional to help with the design process might seem like an unnecessary extra cost, their reasonable ideas actually help cut expenses.

I was very pleased that she really took both our capacity and needs into account, and created harmonious interior spaces that perfectly suit our family. And the end result speaks for itself, what she has created is a lovely place to come home to.

Before we asked Regina to help us with the construction of our apartment, I hadn’t had much experience with home design, and I hope she won’t get offended by this, but somehow I had felt that this type of service is a bit of an unnecessary luxury. However, since we have asked for her help, my opinion has changed radically, as it turned out that her expertise is not simply about choosing the right color and size for cushions, on the contrary, she knows literary everything about how a construction works. She has lots of practical ideas, and she gives us advice according to our needs – often, but only when necessary.

She has helped me a lot in all kinds of aspects: she has created an electrical wiring plan, recommended tilers, designed the colors and the kitchen furniture and so on. She is taking almost all the burden off our shoulders. She negotiates with the workers, building supervisors, and she is the one who is called every time an issue arises. She chooses and buys all the necessary materials, in consultation with us of course.

She is exceedingly attentive; she would never overlook any detail. She is precise, patient, but determined.

I highly recommend her; we are very much pleased with her 🙂

Our family may have bit off more than we could chew when we decided to transform an apartment in the city center into a Tuscan-style home, inspired by an earlier visit and experience in Tuscany.

So we had the idea, but for the implementation, we decided to hire a professional.

That was when we contacted Regina, and right after our first meeting, we felt that we found the person we had been looking for. We became even more convinced after we had been working together for months.

Besides her professional skills, her kind personality, attentiveness and flexibility all added to our cordial and fruitful relationship. While she took our own ideas and requests into account, she also had her own professional insights and suggestions (about which she was constantly consulting with us), and she created a design plan that truly reflected the Tuscan living spaces we had envisioned in our apartment.

After lots of brainstorming and consultations, we looked at the 3D visualization of the resulting plan and immediately felt the vibe and style we had been dreaming of. The new layout of the apartment, the stylish interior claddings, furnishing elements, accessories all made us feel like we were back in Tuscany. All we need now is an olive tree in a wooden box to put on the balcony!

Thank you, Regina!

We bought our first little apartment in 2011, in a structurally complete state. The fact that it had a gallery made it unique and difficult to furnish at the same time. At that time, we had no experience with interior design. We had always looked at beautifully designed apartments in various design magazines and we were astonished, but we had thought that turning them into reality would have been inaccessible luxury.

Eventually, we got started, on a tight budget, but with all the more enthusiasm. However, without distinct ideas, it was not easy to find our way around the endless range of ceramic and wood tiles, and the trouble choosing the right pieces of furniture, lamps, wall colors and textiles all added to our confusion. We knew exactly which items we liked, but to match them in a way that they harmonize with each other proved to be quite a tough task. “The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.” This is certainly true for interior design. In the absence of an expert’s help, we aimed to choose the most neutral tiles, textiles, and pieces of furniture. Unfortunately, the result was not what we expected. There was no harmony and the style did not reflect our personalities. Above all, it lacked a sense of “home”.

This would have meant a halt to the renovation, if our lovely neighbors at that time hadn’t invited us over for a drink. I remember being super excited about the visit. I was happy for the invitation, but honestly, I was a little bit more curious about the apartment next door. Knowing it had the same size and layout, I wondered how it could be different from ours. Well, it quickly turned out …

I will never forget how I felt entering the apartment. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I was thinking “this can’t be the exact same apartment as ours”. It was spacious, bright, organized, and it did have a sense of “home”. The colors, the lighting, the furnishing, everything was perfect, compounded by the warm welcome of our neighbors. The wonder we had seen in the magazines suddenly came to life. At that moment, my boyfriend and I felt that was exactly what we wanted. I was trying to identify what made it so beautiful – the wall lamps, the kitchen furniture, the stairs or the wallpaper? And then I realized: it was the perfect harmony of all these tiny bits that made it so mesmerizing. We were thinking that a professional had probably been involved. So indeed. The housewife was Regina Perneczky, who – after earning a degree in biology – decided to use her talent and creativity in the field of interior design. We knew immediately that we needed her. It was Regi who showed us that home design is not a privilege only wealthy people can afford, and that creating style and harmony can be achieved by minimal material effort.

Nine years have passed, and now we asked Regi again to use her talent at the renovation of our third house. Her enthusiasm, creativity and helpfulness are boundless. She is very open to our opinions: she sees, knows and understands what we want and she helps us to realize them, taking into account our financial resources.

Working with Regi is a pleasure, thanks to her commitment, knowledge and her lovely personality. We would gladly recommend her interior design services to anyone: to those who know exactly what they want, to those who feel lost in the great variety of different styles, to those who are in a good, or even in a slightly worse financial situation. To anyone, regardless of age and taste, who would like to feel a sense of “home”. The result is guaranteed by the interior designer herself, Regina Perneczky.

We had been trying to get the courage (and the money) to renovate our apartment for 17 years. We in fact considered buying another, modernized apartment, but we loved the features of our home so much that we couldn’t find a flat that could compete with that. If it wasn’t for Regina, we wouldn’t have had the courage to get started. Neither of us had any experience in home renovation, we had no idea about the options, the different materials, and we were totally lost in the wide range of choices. In addition, we wanted each and every room to have a unique atmosphere; but at the same time, we wanted our home to be harmonious as well. In order to achieve this, we needed help. We talked a lot with Regina during the design process. As a result, she got to know us well enough to see what suits our personalities and what doesn’t. We absolutely love our renovated home. The rooms do have different atmospheres, but still there is a common ground. 🙂 Besides the aesthetic aspects, we managed to apply the practical aspects as well. Now we have a comfortable and cozy home, where we can both relax and work. We love being at home, enjoying the result of the renovation. 🙂

“I Think This Is The Beginning Of A Beautiful Friendship.”

When me and my husband first met Regina, we met a lovely, smiling young woman. She looked around in our house; we talked to her about what we wanted, what we liked, and what our needs were… We felt as if we were talking to an old friend of ours. She casually gathered millions of bits of information, without us even noticing. My husband also explained his own views. As it turned out, he and I had quite different visions regarding the materials and the colors. Our ideas seemed to contradict each other in an incompatible way.

She measured, took photos, asked questions and kept smiling.

Already on our first meeting, she told us what she could offer, and what it would cost.

I felt so relieved. Finally someone who could take this burden off of me.

She arrived to our next meeting with design plans. Compared to our own ideas, she came up with much more reasonable and cost-effective plans and solutions of which I would have never thought. With minimal wall demolition, she made the apartment even more spacious, turning its downsides into upsides. She told us about new materials and solutions that could lead to a much more unique, yet cheaper result.

She seemed to know immediately what we needed. She explained what would have been the result if we stuck to my stiff ideas. I froze. I almost created a rigid and dreary home, just because I wanted to avoid certain materials or colors.

Her design plans created balance between my husband’s and my own needs. It felt as if she had known us for ages.

On the next occasion, all we had to do were tiny refinements. I usually make decisions on the spot, however, this time I was unsure about the kitchen. I had many concerns. I wanted a kitchen island, but also a large table, where the whole family could eat together. Also, I was thinking a cozy corner would be nice to sit down to and have a coffee, but there was no room for all of that. She created plans and came up with astonishing technical solutions for problems that seemed irresolvable. She even made plans that were totally unfeasible, just for me to see all the scenarios. I actually felt embarrassed that I didn’t know exactly what I wanted, but she stayed patient and helpful. I was provided with plenty of samples, catalogues, realistic visualizations and walkable 3D animations to help decide which option I liked the most. Then one day, Regina finally arrived with a large notebook. On the front page it had a photo of our future living room. The notebook included a heartfelt description of our newly designed apartment, and a list that explained all tasks to be done one by one. The original floor layout was also included, as well as the plans for the demolition and the reconstruction. It contained a precise documentation of all technical processes in logical order: plasterboarding, electrical wiring, furnishing…. A detailed list of what needed to be purchased: the mixing ratio of different colors of paints, the pieces of furniture to be bought and their availability in shops. I had plenty of pictures to actually see what we were doing, step-by-step.

If I won the lottery, I would give this notebook and the keys to a general contractor, and three months later I would walk into my brand new dream home. This probably won’t happen, but at least we have a very precise and detailed plan in hand to follow. I have the aim in mind and I always know what the next step is. Now I am sure that I won’t spend a single penny unnecessarily. So far as our capabilities allow, we are going to make our dream come true step-by-step, and sooner or later – instead of the notebook – we will only have to open our door to walk in our dream home.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank Regina for her work, I am very grateful.

Mária

Regina is a treasure and her work is worth every penny <3. She visited us this morning, and in just a few hours, she solved problems which we had been struggling with for years. I was absolutely terrified of what she would think of ,first, our home as she walked in, second, the fact that I cannot think big, and 3, the fact that I am always indecisive. J It was such a good experience… and from an external point of view, all she did was walking around, talking, showing us some colors materials and that’s it. However, she actually helped me save a lot of time that I would have spent shopping, stressing, having misunderstandings with sellers, fighting with my husband, constantly asking for help and looking for a babysitter. I would have had to spend the summer doing these things if I didn’t call her, but instead, now I have time to spend with my family and to work (and as for work, I do what I love, while earning money I can spend on the consultations). As we were talking, we envisaged the bathroom, imagined the kid playing in their room, and I just feel so excited about this again. It is not a burden anymore. Furthermore, her visit even motivated us to clean the house J
